Printing/ Using

The patterns will print out on A4 paper, and need fixing together. You can use sticky tape or glue sticks, or both. Match up the markings, as there is an overlap on each sheet.

You will be able to see measurements etc. after printing, and can make adjustments as you wish.

Charting Devices

Patterns marked with the number of the size, e.g. 2, are full size for Brother Knitleaders. Patterns marked with KM2 for example, are for Knitmaster machines and are half scale.

Cut and Sew

The patterns allow minimum ease, and therefore have no seam allowance. You may wish to use a larger size to allow for this.

 Kim

This is a jacket pattern, although it could be altered to be a jumper or t shirt pattern. I cut the finished pattern from the underarm to the hem on front and back pieces, then joined the side pieces together at this cut edge, to give a wedge shape. I did put a guide line on the pattern, but it might be displaced on some sizes, the intention is to cut directly from the underarm seam, straight to the hem.

Sewing up is simple, just sew the sleeve seams, then the underarm seams, joining sleeve to wedge side piece. Then sew the whole side/sleeve piece to the front and back in one seam. That is it.

I have put in a collar piece, or it could have a band on the open edge, or crochet etc.

I have also marked a line on the side piece for a pocket. Just cut an extra piece to fit the bottom of the side wedge, and sew it in place before the final seam is sewn. You will then trap the pocket in the side seam.
